Madagascar Experience the ultimate - Kayaking the Masoala Peninsula

Duration : 7 Nights 8 Days
The “Masoala Rainforest Adventure” provides the ultimate experience of the Masoala Rainforest from the beauty and tranquility of the Antalavia camp. The exclusive camp, at the mouth of the pristine Antalavia River, is sandwiched between the densely forested mountains of Parc Masoala and the rich waters of the Tampolo Marine Reserve. Access is by an exciting 50 kilometer sea voyage from Maroantsetra, across the Bay d’Antongil, breeding grounds for Humpback whales, and down the Masoala Peninsula, deep into the Parc. Once in the camp, the cool clear cascades of the river compete with the warm coral waters of the sea, while all around the unique forest begs for exploration. The wilderness camp provides basic yet comfortable accommodation in bow-tents on thatched platforms, each in a private grove of tropical hardwood trees with a view of the beach. A traditional palm-frond hut overlooking the water serves as a communal eating and socialising area. With a choice of guided forest trails, bird and game watching, sea kayaking, snorkelling, beach-combing, fishing or simply racking up quality hammock time, there is something for everyone at this natural paradise. see our Set group departures for dates |
