Vakona Lodge is located 15 minutes by car from the main entrance to the Perinet Reserve. Accommodation consists of approximately 20bungalows with heaters .mini bar and en suite bathroom with hot water showers. The hotel has an eye-catching lounge / dining area with TV/Video. The Berenty lodge is situated in the Berenty Reserve, in the spiny desert in southern Madagascar. The lodge consists of spacious wooden chalets with bathroom /showers ensuite. Some have hot water and some have cold water. No price difference. There is only the Berenty Lodge in the Berenty reserve so there is no choice of accommodation. Berenty Lodge has a lovely tea garden where one can sit and observe the lemurs as well as a small museum depicting artifacts and history of the region.

Climbing Ankarea will lead you to the top of the Mitsio islands with an impressing panoramic view.
